Professional Women in Healthcare created the “Jana Quinn Inspirational Award” in memory of our friend, Jana Quinn, PWH founding member, mentor and inspiration to all in the healthcare industry.
This award recognizes an inspirational person in the healthcare industry, male or female, with qualities that define their success not only professionally, but throughout life. We are seeking a person (female or male) with qualities that were an inherent part of Jana: energizing, inspiring, family focused, friend, mentor, role model and respected servant leader.
Deadline for nominations is March 31, 2022. The recipient will be announced at the 2022 PWH Leadership Summit.
PWH is committed to offering networking opportunities for our members. In the monthly Member Touchpoints, you will learn about the beginning of PWH from founding members, discover key ways to engage with others in PWH and have all your questions answered. You can also grab your favorite cup of coffee, tea, or whatever "wake me up" drink you prefer and chat virtually in our Coffee Chats or grab a cocktail or mocktail and join us for our Cocktail Hour Chats. Every Coffee and Cocktail Hour Chat will feature a different topic, so take a look at the schedule and register for each session that piques your interest.

Managing up — this may be the most valuable “soft skill” you will need to “manage” your own career. This isn’t about brown-nosing; it’s about understanding your boss, knowing who you are, and building real relationships with the people who have influence over your career. Managing up done correctly is good for you, good for your boss, and good for the organization. This session gives you strategies for developing these all-important connections and building more than rapport; you will learn how to quickly assess situations and determine which actions will move things forward. It’s a skill that can do more for your career than simply networking ever could.
